Please Tell Me What I'm Missing

I'm writing the Editor's Note for the upcoming issue of Knockspell Magazine, and I'd like to mention a laundry list of various things of note that have happened in the OOP fantasy RPG gaming scene since the last issue (which according to lulu was published in March 2011, although it sure seems longer ago than that).

I want to make sure that I don't miss anything that was a big event (events and publications). If you've got something you think should be included in my list, please let me know about it in the comments.

  1. I published Anomalous Subsurface Environment. People need to know this, because if they don't have a copy, they're going to be viewed as far less attractive than they otherwise would be.

  2. I'm not even familiar with Links to Wisdom - link?

  3. The publication of Vornheim should qualify, and if you're kind to consider it important, the Grindhouse Edition? :)

  5. @Jim, Yes, those both fit the bill.

To all: remember, advertising is free in Knockspell as long as the ad is a graphic in 300+ dpi. (Jim, I have yours already).

  6. Joseph Browning has put out like four or five Advanced Adventures in the past three months or so.

I can't imagine it would need mentioning, but FGG has put out quite a bit since then.

D.H. Boggs released Twilight: a supplement for Dragons at Dawn.

James Stater released the latest Nod & Mystery Men.

    The Black Blade/Usherwood OSRIC imprint.

I thought the 4th printing of S&W Core was a really big deal. :)

  7. I got Joe's already. Funnily enough I had to email Bill Webb to find out which of the FGG modules came out in that time period because there are so many that I have lost track of the timing on them.

I cannot believe I missed the OSRIC imprint, but I didn't have it listed - that's a good illustration of why it's a good idea to crowdsource this kind of question.

  9. In the OSR it's steamship time for takes on the Arnesonian progression from dungeon to stronghold, and the economic framework developed in the Adventurer Conqueror King System looks like it might be the go-to building block for this among second-wave retroclones, just as LotFP is for encumbrance. ckutalik's Domain Game was developed in parallel, but he decided that "because the unified economic system inside ACKS is a really inspired piece of work," he will publish the now-titled Hill Cantons: Borderlands under the ACKS compatibility license.
