In my campaign...Thanks for that, Matt. Nice work.

In my campaign setting, arcane magic is closely tied to Chaos, and mankind's transition into post-humanity is defined by its mastery of such magic and, hence, its move solidly into the camp of Chaos. At the same time, I also use the Good - Evil moral axis in the exact way that you've laid out.

Thus, devils are Lawful, but certainly Evil. Gods are Lawful, with their morality varying. Demons are Chaotic, and also certainly Evil. Old-style humans (like us in real life) are almost entirely Neutral while Post-humans are certainly Chaotic. With both, their morality varies.maasenstodthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08901306527875471546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2296104283452210018.post-10165017831974076842015-03-07T07:41:55.548-06:002015-03-07T07:41:55.548-06:00I think some form of this is how most OD&D pla...I think some form of this is how most OD&D players operate, it's just not explicit. I still remember how the alignment notation on the Overlord in the City State, with that "Lawful (evil tendencies)" made me stop and think. I've used a similar way of explaining the alignment issue, but not so clearly as you've done here. Thanks! Piperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12770517741281593733noreply@blogger.com
